Silly Software

Here are a few silly and largely useless things I've written that people might want to play with.  Click on the screen shot to download the software.  To run the software, unzip it and copy it to an appropriate place (the Recycle Bin perhaps?)

Please, don't ask for technical support for these silly programs.  They are provided "as-is."

ExplorerThumbnailSize

Did you know you could set the size of thumbnails in Explorer? If you use a digital camera, and you have a large monitor, you probably wish the thumbnails were a little larger. You can make them larger or smaller with regedit or TweakUI. Then you have to delete the thumbs.db files (after finding them using the search tool--and and after making sure "show hidden files" is on).

Or, you can just download this little utility and do it in one operation.

Source can be downloaded here.

WindowsXP and Windows Server 2003 only!

WinEyes

An X Eyes rip-off.  A couple eyes follow the mouse cursor around on the screen.

Here is a set of eyes with green irises, and here is a set of eyes with red irises.  The easiest way to use them is to rename the *.eye file you want to use to wineyes.eye and put it in the same directory as wineyes.exe.

Alternatively, you can pass the path to the .eye file on the command line to wineyes.exe.

Transparent Clock

Windows 2000 and up only!  A nifty transparent and/or translucent clock.
WinTrans

Windows 2000 and up only!  Allows you to make any windows GUI program transparent and/or translucent.
Fake Format

Fake hard disk format.  Kind of crudely written, but good for a laugh.  I wrote it in the hotel and on the airplane after a certain job interview, to relieve stress.
